The new Pluto LNG plant put into operation by Australia's Woodside Petroleum is processing natural gas from the Pluto and Xena fields, located in the Carnarvon Basin about 190 kilometres north-west of Karratha, Western Australia.
ACD of the US, a leading manufacturer of cryogenic equipment and turbo-machinery, said it received an order from TGE Marine Gas Engineering to supply LNG fuel pumps for a new vessel being built by Meyer Werft of Germany.
At the start of 2012 the LNG has an installed liquefaction capacity of around 370 billion cubic metres, or some 270 million tonnes per annum. This equates to about 10 percent of global natural gas supply, and up to around 40 percent of gas supply to Europe.
