US LNG exports would benefit both the global environment and Louisiana's economy, a non-partisan state think tank says in a new report. Louisiana has six LNG export projects under development.

Woodside Petroleum, the largest Australian LNG producer, has entered the Canadian LNG exports race by acquiring a site at Grassy Point near the port of Prince Rupert on the Pacific Coast of British Columbia in a government land tender.

The American Bureau of Shipping has released a new advisory report to support shipowners and operators intending to transit what will be newest LNG traffic area, the Northern Sea Route through the Arctic seas from Northern Russia to the Far East.

LNG peak-shaving facilities will occasionally develop a blockage within their fill line that prevents LNG from being added to the tank until the blockage is removed.

LNG marine fuelling, or bunkering, will be one of the responsibilities of the newly formed Society for Gas as a Marine Fuel (SGMF) as it builds up its membership and brings its expertise to bear.
