Asian LNG demand recovery seen

Early signs of a recovery in Asian LNG demand are emerging, potentially tightening global balances and creating a European gas upside price risk, Goldman Sachs said in a note late last week.

European countries will import around 80% of their LNG supplies from the US by 2028, a report from the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) predicted.

LNG Canada Phase 2 moves closer

LNG Canada, and both the Canadian Federal and British Columbia Governments, have agreed on a process to resolve the remaining ‘final items’ needed to support a potential 2026 financial investment decision (FID) on the project’s Phase 2 expansion.

Louisiana lawmakers have unanimously endorsed the proposed Argent LNG export facility at Port Fourchon.
