Revithoussa LNG upgrade completed

Operations at the Revithoussa LNG regasification and import terminal in Greece have resumed after a planned shutdown to upgrade the plant with a new high-pressure BOG compressor. According to Greece’s National Gas System Operator (DESFA), the upgrade will eliminate the need for wasteful gas flaring during normal operations.

July 17 (LNGJ) - The “LNG Endurance” with 170,500 cubic metres capacity was scheduled to deliver a cargo on July 19 to the Greek import terminal at Revithoussa as European natural gas prices were steady at around $10.17 per million British thermal units. The vessel had also called at the French Channel terminal at Dunkirk and departed on July 10, according to shipping data.

Dec 13 (LNGJ) - The 75,000 cubic metres capacity Med-class vessel “Cheikh Mokrani” is scheduled to unload a shipment on December 14 at the Greek Revithoussa terminal from the Skikda plant in Algeria, according to shipping data. The 174,100 cubic metres capacity carrier “Cesi Qingdao” will deliver a cargo on December 17 to the Chinese Qingdao import terminal in the eastern Shandong province, owned by Sinopec, from the Gladstone plant in Queensland, Australia. The 210,100 cubic metres capacity carrier “Fraiha” will deliver a cargo on December 28 to the Incheon import terminal in South Korea, operated by Korea Gas Corp., from Ras Laffan in Qatar.

May 16 (LNGJ) – The 75,000 cubic metres capacity vessel “Cheikh El Mokrani” will deliver a shipment on May 19 to the Revithoussa import terminal in Greece from the Skikda liquefaction plant in Algeria, operated by Sonatrach, according to shipping data. The 138,088 cubic metres capacity carrier “Berge Arzew” will unload a shipment from Algeria on May 20 at the Turkish import terminal at Alianga, near Izmir.

The 155,000 cubic metres capacity vessel “Gaslog Sydney” is scheduled to unload a shipment on April 4 at the import terminal at Map Ta Phut in Thailand. The Thai cargo was lifted from the Equatorial Guinea plant on Bioko Island in West Africa, operated by Marathon Oil.

The 145,700 cubic metres capacity “LNG Benue” is scheduled to deliver a cargo on December 27 to the Turkish Aliaga import terminal, near Izmir, operated by EgeGaz. The shipment for Turkey was lifted at Nigeria’s Bonny Island plant on December 13. The 210,000 cubic metres capacity Q-Flex carrier “Al Nuaman” is scheduled to deliver a cargo from Qatar on December 22 to the Polish import terminal, located at Swinoujscie on the Baltic coast.

Nov 1 (LNGJ) - The 75,000 cubic metres capacity Algerian LNG carrier “Cheikh Bouamama” is unloading a cargo at the Greek import terminal at Revithoussa after arriving from the Portuguese terminal at Sines, according to shipping data. The 210,100 cubic metres capacity Q-Flex vessel “Fraiha” has arrived with a shipment from Qatar at the Hazira import terminal in India. The 174,000 cubic metres capacity “Maran Gas Achilles” has lifted a cargo from the Equatorial Guinea export plant at Malabo to deliver to a terminal in the Atlantic Basin. The 177,000 cubic metres capacity “Energy Horizon” has berthed at the Pluto LNG jetty at the Port of Dampier in Western Australia to lift a cargo for delivery to Tokyo Bay.
