Dutch shipping line Anthony Veder has taken delivery from the collapsed Norgas fleet of two combined gas carriers each of 10,000 cubic metres capacity and capable of transporting liquefied natural gas and petrochemical gases, including ethylene.

IM Skaugen, the Norway-based operator of multi-gas carriers, has scheduled its annual shareholder meeting for Oslo on July 31 after achieving a form of bankruptcy protection from a court in Singapore as it plans to become a participant in the small-scale LNG market.

Nov 16 (LNGJ) - Teekay LNG Partners, the US-listed affiliate of Teekay LNG, has established a division called the “Teekay Multigas Pool” for in-house commercial management of small-scale liquefied natural gas carriers and ethylene-capable liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) vessels. “The pool fleet is expected to reach at least 12 vessels by the end of 2017, including third-party partner vessels,” said Teekay. The company said the seven directly owned, ethylene-capable LPG carriers have been part of the Norgas fleet operated by I.M. Skaugen and the transition of these vessels into the Teekay Multigas Pool will start immediately. “We believe there are opportunities to consolidate the ethylene and small-scale LNG shipping sectors,” said Mark Kremin, President and Chief Executive of Teekay Gas Group Ltd.

Norway-based IM Skaugen is beginning its medium-term contract to charter three of its multi-gas carriers to a small-scale LNG venture in the West African state of Ghana.

Norwegian shipping company IM Skaugen, owner of a fleet of multi-gas carriers and with small-scale LNG project proposals in the offing, said it has been working to execute a financing plan for the deferment of the 2017 maturity debt with all its lenders.

IM Skaugen, the Norwegian operator of small-scale liquefied natural gas carriers and other fuel vessels, said it signed long-term contracts for the time charter of three multigas vessels to provide LNG for African power plants.

IM Skaugen, the Norwegian operator of small-scale LNG carriers and other fuel vessels, reported a net loss of $13.36 million for the third quarter of 2016 compared with a profit of $4.27M in the year-ago period as it continued to pursue LNG projects.
