July 13 (LNGJ) - Nigeria LNG shareholder and energy operator, Italy's Eni, said one of three people injured during repairs to the sabotaged Tebidaba-Clough Creek pipeline in the Niger Delta had died in hospital. "The incident therefore caused a total of 13 deaths and two injuries," Eni said. "The pipeline is located in Nigeria's onshore Niger Delta and was previously damaged by acts of sabotage," the Italian company stated. "Eni will continue to work with local authorities in collecting information useful to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident and the related responsibilities," Eni added. "Sorrow for the loss of so many lives is now compounded by dismay and upset at the details of events that are now emerging regarding the incident," said Eni Chief Executive Claudio Descalzi. Eni is a stakeholder in Nigeria LNG with Shell and Total.
