June 26 (LNGJ) - US natural gas daily exports to Mexico have reached record highs in June and have been on an upward curve since 2010. The Mexicans import LNG and have plans to build at least one export plant but the US pipeline supply is the fastest growing energy resource. The US exports across the border are currently 33 percent higher than in the same period of 2014, the US Energy Information Administration said. "From 2010 to 2014, US natural gas exports to Mexico doubled in response to declining Mexican production, increasing Mexican demand for natural gas and rising US production," the EIA said. Mexico's energy ministry forecasts that pipeline supplies from the US will reach an annual average of 3.8 billion cubic feet per day by 2018.
