June 8 (LNGJ) - Chubu Electric Power Co., the second-largest LNG importer in Japan, and city-gas firm Toho Gas Co., said their jointly operated Chita import terminal near the city of Nagoya in Aichi prefecture received its 3,500th LNG cargo on board the 137,500 cubic metres capacity "Al Zubarah" from Qatar. "About 38 years have passed since the Chita LNG Terminal received its first LNG, imported from Indonesia in September 1977," the companies said.  "The Chita terminal received about 8.4 million tonnes of LNG, or 128 carrier loads, in 2014," they added.
