June 3 (LNGJ) - A Russian shipping company, LNG-Gorskaya, has signed up with United Shipbuilding Corp. to build three LNG bunkering vessels operating around a floating plant planned for near St. Petersburg. The three Russian bunkering ships will each have a capacity of 7,300 cubic metres and are scheduled for delivery in 2017. The LNG plant itself will be a floating type regasification facility with annual liquefaction capacity of 1.26 million tonnes per annum. Production at the LNG plant is expected to start in 2016 with a ramp-up to full capacity by 2020. LNG-Gorskaya plans to use its LNG bunkering fleet to deliver LNG to European consumers and to bunker vessels in the Gulf of Finland.
