June 2 (LNGJ) - Italian oil and gas drilling and pipeline services company Saipem and energy firm Eni have signed a contract for offshore drilling in Mozambique’s water to monetize LNG feed-gas resources, using the drillship “Saipem 12000”. The contract is for 15 months and will start in mid-2019. “This contract will allow the company to participate in the development of the Coral field,” said Saipem. It added that Eni had also awarded it a contract for the drilling of two wells offshore Cyprus. “Work will once again be carried out by the ‘Saipem 12000’ and commence in the fourth quarter of 2017,” the Italian company said.
