Awilco LNG loss narrows

Nov 18 (LNGJ) - Awilco LNG of Norway, the owner of two LNG carriers, reported a lower net loss in the third quarter due to the sale of its two older vessels. Awilco reduced its net loss to $4.2 million in the third quarter compared with $11.5M in the previous quarter. The “WilEnergy” and “WilGas” were sold and delivered to new owners, contributing a net positive cash effect of $32.2M. Third-quarter LNG freight income was $8.4M, slightly down from 2015. The company still owns two tri-fuel, diesel-electric vessels, the “WilForce” and “WilPride”, delivered in 2013.
