Nov 16 (LNGJ) - TransCanada Corp., the main pipeline company to transport feed-gas for LNG projects in Canada, has withdrawn its offer to lower its tolls because shippers and developers said they believed the prices were too high TransCanada started the open season for its new tolling rates in October, offering more favourable terms for its Canadian Mainline. The company said the bids received did not make up enough volume. TransCanada had also asked shippers to sign up for a 10-year contract and pay between C$0.75and C$0.82 per gigajoule, depending on volumes. The company also offered shippers the option to exit the contract after five years, with a two-year notice period.
