Sept 23 (LNGJ) - LNG importer Japan is continuing to change the face of its energy industry under deregulation, with city-gas companies and power providers able to operate in other markets. Chubu Electric Power Co. and Inpex Corp., the developer of an Australian LNG export plant, are to begin supplying wholesale electricity to Seibu Gas, Matsumoto Gas and Suwa Gas, sourcing the power from Diamond Power Corp., a Chubu Electric subsidiary.
