May 9 (LNGJ) - Russia’s Gazprom Marketing & Trading, whose headquarters are in London, has completed the sale for an undisclosed sum of its German subsidiary, Gazprom Marketing & Trading Retail, to Goldgas, a unit of Leipzig-based natural gas business Verbundnetz Gas AG (VNG). Gazprom said the transaction was in line with its strategic focus of providing energy to business customers only. Gazprom said the sale of its German retail business presents the VNG Group “with an opportunity to further expand its presence in the German residential” energy market.
