March 21 (LNGJ) - Norwegian energy company Statoil said that after the attack on March 18 on its In Salah Gas facility in Krechba in Algeria, the situation had now returned to normal. The were no injuries resulting from the incident when a rocket-propelled grenade was fired into the plant from a vehicle. Statoil and joint venture partners, BP of the UK and Sonatrach of Algeria, only resumed full operations in February 2016 at the In Salah development project. The venture started in February 2011 and was scheduled to be completed by 2014. However, in January 2013 terrorists attacked the In Amenas plant, operated as part of the In Salah Gas joint venture and resulting in the deaths of 40 people.
