March 8 (LNGJ) - Dutch dredging company Royal Boskalis Westminster was awarded a contract from the National Petroleum Construction Co. of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates for dredging work related to the installation of a natural gas pipeline from onshore to Das Island where the LNG production plant is located. The activities are due to commence now and will be executed in phases with completion expected in the second half of 2017. Boskalis will dredge a trench for the installation of the new offshore gas pipeline over a distance of 50 kilometres between Das Island and Ras Al Qila onshore using several vessels.
