March 8 (LNGJ) - The first export shipment of LNG produced in the Lower 48 states in February reflected a decade of natural gas production growth that has put the US in a new position in worldwide energy trade. However, the US Energy Information Administration said LNG export market conditions have changed since many export projects in the nation were initially planned. “Proposed LNG terminals in the US face not only increased competition from other domestic and foreign terminals that have been completed, but they also face uncertainty in global LNG demand,” the EIA said, naming Australia as a main competitor.
