Tokyo Gas volumes decline

April 16 (LNGJ) - Tokyo Gas, the third-largest importer of LNG in Japan and an indicative company on global demand, said sales volumes for March came to about 1.44 billion cubic metres of natural gas, the equivalent of 1.03 million tonnes of LNG, down 2.0 percent from the same month a year ago. Residential volumes were down 1.8 percent, business sector volumes declined 2.6 percent and industrial sales were down 1.4 percent. Volumes for wholesale supply to other city-gas companies were 3.9 percent lower.
