Jan 22 (LNGJ) - Kinder Morgan, the largest energy infrastructure company in America with 80,000 miles of pipelines and stakes in two LNG facilities, has signed a $3 billion takeover deal for Hiland Partners, owned by oil billionaire Harold Hamm. Hiland is a business centred on pipelines and gas and oil gathering and processing systems mainly serving the Bakken Shale in North Dakota and Montana. A Kinder Morgan subsidiary owns stakes in LNG terminals near Savannah, Georgia, and in Pascagoula, Mississippi.
