Jan 8 (LNGJ) - Excelerate Energy completed its 700th commercial ship-to-ship (STS) transfer of LNG at the floating import facility at Escobar, located north of the Argentine capital Buenos Aires. The US company used its regasification vessel, "Exemplar" and the conventional LNG carrier "Cadiz Knutsen" and 73,778 cubic metres of LNG was transferred. STS operations have now become largely routine since Excelerate carried out the industry's first cargo transfer for LNG deliveries to regasification vessels in 2005.
