Dec 9 (LNG) - US energy company, EOG Resources, formerly a shareholder in the Kitimat LNG project before selling its stake to Chevron, has sold more Canadian assets in Alberta and Manitoba. However, Houston-based EOG said it would retain about 382,200 gross acres in Alberta and British Columbia. "This decision is consistent with EOG's focus on its outstanding US crude oil opportunities. We plan to reinvest some of the proceeds in these high return assets, while retaining our position in the Horn River Basin and other exploration areas," said EOG Chairman and Chief Executive William R. "Bill" Thomas.
