Dec 8 (LNGJ) - Sovcomflot, the Russian fleet operator, signed a new $319 million 10-year credit facility with a consortium of leading European banks with Dutch bank ING acting as lead. The funds will be used towards financing two new ice-class LNG carriers, the "SCF Melampus" and "SCF Mitre", which will operate on long-term contracts with the Royal Dutch Shell. The ice-class carriers will feature a tri-fuel engine and a cargo capacities of 170,000 cubic metres, the Russians said.
