Profits rise for Japan's Inpex

Aug 6 (LNGJ) - Inpex Corp., the Japanese energy company and developer of LNG projects in Australia and Indonesia, posted operating income of 178.9 billion yen ($1.7Bln) in the three months to the end of June compared with 157.3Bln in the same three months of 2013, a rise of almost 14 percent. The company, led by President Toshiaki Kitamura, said net income was 52.4Bln yen compared with 29.9Bln yen in the same period last year.
