July 30 (LNGJ) - ConocoPhillips has withdrawn from the Brass LNG project in Nigeria after years of stalling on the venture that has been on the drawing board for more than eight years. The US major has transferred its 17 percent stake to the remaining shareholders, Nigerian National Petroleum Corp., France's Total and Eni of Italy. The Brass project was planned to be located on Brass Island in Bayelsa State with production of 10 million tonnes per annum.
