July 11 (LNGJ) - Chevron Corp., one of the world's largest LNG project developers, said in an interim statement that international upstream net production was lower in the second quarter because of the continued shutdown of the Angola LNG plant in southwest Africa for technical reasons. The Chevron-operated Angola plant with a single Trains and nameplate capacity of 5.5 million tonnes per annum has been mostly closed since first coming on stream in June last year 18 months behind schedule. Chevron's others projects include Gorgon LNG and Wheatstone LNG in Australia and Kitimat LNG in Canada.
