May 9 (LNGJ) - Inpex Corp., the Japanese energy company developing LNG projects in Australia and Indonesia, has posted annual operating income equivalent to $7.2 billion, an increase of 5.8 percent on the previous year. Inpex's net income in dollar terms was  $1.8Bln, up 0.4 percent compared with 2012. "As our immediate business challenges, we recognize the importance of steady development activities of the two large-scale LNG projects in Australia (Ichthys LNG) and Indonesia (Abadi FLNG)," the company said.
