Oct 11 (LNGJ) - With October being the 40th anniversary since the first Russian pipeline gas was supplied to West Germany during the Cold War in 1973, Russian supplier Gazprom has launched a German language Web site to promote greater understanding of the pipeline pact. During the 40 years Russian gas deliveries to Germany have exceeded 1 trillion cubic metres. Last year Gazprom supplied Germany with 34 billion cubic metres of gas, and so far in 2013 over 27 Bcm have been delivered. Gazprom said its share in Germany's overall gas import market is around 40 per cent.
