April 2 (LNGJ) - Hamworthy Oil & Gas Systems, the UK unit of Finland's Wartsila, said it won a contract to supply LNG regasification equipment to be made in China for another Hoegh LNG floating storage and regasification vessel under construction at Hyundai Heavy Industries in South Korea. "Working together with Sinopacific Offshore and Engineering (SOE), Wartsila Hamworthy will design and supply the system concept, while the key equipment and fabrication will be supplied by SOE," a statement said. The partnership agreement follows on from a contract won in November 2011 to supply propane-seawater regasification systems two 170,000 cubic metres capacity FSRU vessels being built for Hoegh in Korea. Reidar Strande, LNG Business Unit Director, Hamworthy Oil and Gas Systems, said: "This contract for Hoegh LNG follows on from the joint project with SOE in supplying our regasification module for the converted LNG vessel 'Golar Khannur'."
