Feb 28 (LNGJ) - Sempra LNG, owner of the Costa Azul import terminal in Mexico and a contracted buyer of LNG from the Tannguh LNG plant in Indonesia, said its 2011 earnings rose to $99 million from $68M the previous year. Sempra LNG, a subsidiary of california-based Sempra Energy, said it benefited from marketing activities and additional revenues from contracted cargoes that were not delivered, but diveted to countries like Japan at higher prices. In the fourth quarter, Sempra LNG's earnings rose to $24m from $18M in the prior-year's fourth quarter.
