Jan 16 - GAIL Gas Ltd. of India said it has joined with the Andhra Pradesh state government to develop a floating storage and regasification unit to import LNG. A memorandum of understanding between the two parties is for an FSRU to handle 3.5 million tonnes per annum to 5 MTPA of LNG. The facility will be located on India's east coast near Kakinada, GAIL said.
