Jan 13 - The Suez Canal Authority said the number of laden LNG carriers traversing from the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea was 81 in 2011, which was more than double the LNG vessel traffic recorded in the previous year when 36 laden vessels crossed. The West-East traffic rise was attributable to more LNG cargoes being diverted from the Atlantic Basin market to the higher-priced Asian market.
