Black & Veatch, the US LNG and energy engineering company, said in its six-monthly overview that the North American energy industry faces relatively low prices for natural gas and wholesale electricity that keep the value of many existing generation assets below replacement cost. The company also forecast the emergence of "cash-rich investors" looking to acquire US assets or companies.
