Dec 9 - WellDog,the gas sensing technology company, said it completed its first coal-seam gas tests in China. The tests, conducted in Far East Energy's (FEEB) Shouyang field in the Shanxi Province, provided the company with data on the amount of natural gas in the Shouyang coal seams, said WellDog, which has offices in Laramie, Wyoming, and Queensland, Australia. "WellDog was able to highlight quickly new areas of high gas content," said Bob Hockert, WellDog chief of Far East Energy. "The results correlated well with our operational observations and expectations, and we are confident that the testing procedures are thorough and accurate." Plants are being built in Australia to export CSG as LNG.
