Chubu LNG needs up 55 percent

Dec 8 - Chubu Electric Power Co., Japan's third-largest utility, said it has seen its LNG requirements increase 55 percent in the current fiscal year from 8.4 million tonnes to 13 million tonnes. The company said it would meet its requirement for the fiscal year into the first quarter of 2012 by purchasing incremental cargoes from countries such as Qatar.
