LNG player BG Group and other companies are fast-tracking exploration programmes offshore Kenya in East Africa following the success of Anadarko of the US and Italy's Eni in tapping into separate large natural gas finds in the Indian Ocean offshore Mozambique. BG is said to have mapped strong leads and diverse plays using seismic data. The data is expected to be fully processed by mid-2012 and interpretation and mapping will be completed later next year, industry executives said.
