France's LNG imports have risen almost 35 percent in 2011 from 6.9 million tonnes in the first 10 months of 2010 to 9.4MT in the same period this year. LNG imports at the three terminals of Montoir-de-Bretagne, Fos Cavaou and Fos Tonkin amounted to 844,181MT in October, a rise of almost 80 percent on the same month last year when cargo deliveries were disrupted by strikes, according to LNG terminal operators Elengy, a subsidiary of GDF-Suez, and Société du Terminal Méthanier de Fos Cavaou.
