Developers of the two large Mozambique projects, energy giants, TotalEnergies and ExxonMobil, have called for expressions of interest (EOIs) to provide maritime services for Area 1 (Mozambique LNG), led by the French company, and Area 4 (Rovuma LNG), led by its US counterpart.
They anticipate the movement of 400 LNGCs annually in the Afungi Peninsula, Cabo Delgado, northern Mozambique, and have issued a joint tender to hire seven support vessels and tugs.
Rovuma is still awaiting a final investment decision (FID), although the joint procedure is already underway.
These services include, in addition to personnel, five tugs with 80 tonnes of static traction, a pilot boat, and two workboats.
The tender projects the annual movement of 160 LNGCs and 10 condensate tankers for Area 1, and 220 LNGCs and 15 condensate tankers for Area 4.
