Atlantic LNG freight rates rose to $146,750 per day on Friday, the highest level year-to-date.
Pacific rates also saw their highest level since December, 2023, at $89,250 per day, Spark Commodities analyst, Qasim Afghan told newswires.
He added that the US front month arbitrage to northeast Asia via the Cape of Good Hope was strongly pointing to Europe, while the arbitrage via the Panama Canal was marginally pointing to Asia.
