LNG plant developer. Venture Global has ceased the construction of Delta LNG.
The company has submitted a request to the US regulatory authorities to withdraw its application to build the LNG export facility, which had a nameplate capacity of 24.4 mill tonnes per annum.
In a filing to the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), Venture Global said that continuing the Delta LNG project would not be an optimal use of its time and resources.
It also said that it intended to focus on its planned Plaquemines expansion project. The company claimed that it could develop this project faster than Delta.
