Snam extends SPP natural gas supply MoU

Italian energy company,  Snam has extended its memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Slovakian energy company, SPP.

Originally signed in April, 2023,  the MoU was aimed at assessing potential co-operation on natural gas supply security.

The main areas of co-operation involve access to Italian LNG regasification and storage capacity, as well as transport capacity from Italy to Slovakia via Austria through the Tarvisio exit point.

The latest extension was signed in Rome by Gaetano Mazzitelli, Snam’s Chief Commercial & Regulatory Officer and Vojtech Ferencz, SPP CEO, on the back of a visit by the Slovak Republic President, Robert Fico to Italy.
