Senegal has finally received the first LNG cargo to feed an FSRU.

In turn, the FSRU will serve a Karmol powership moored off Senegal, as the country moves to switch power generation from oil to gas.

According to a social media post, the TotalEnergies-chartered, 174,000 cu m ‘Maran Gas Kimolos’ bought the cargo for the 125,000 cu m KARMOL LNGT ‘Powership Africa’ (the converted LNGC ‘Dwiputra’), which has been moored off Dakar since June, 2021.
