The latest company to join the growing ranks of Sea-LNG is Japan’s utility giant, Osaka Gas. Osaka Gas is working to increase the share of renewables in its power generation portfolio.
It is joining forces with other large international companies to sponsor the creation of a global coalition exclusively dedicated to electric natural gas (e-NG), also called e-methane.
Furthermore, the company aims to contribute to emissions reduction in the shipping industry by de-carbonising marine fuels through its new LNG bunkering business, which is due to be launched in 2026.
SEA-LNG recently published a fact sheet, which seeks to dispel the myths about liquefied e-methane and provide the shipping industry with the latest up-to-date information on the fuel and how its development is progressing.
