South Korea's state-owned Korea Gas Corp (KOGAS) sold 1.81 mill tonnes of LNG last month, a rise of 32% from a year earlier.
The increase was helped by higher power generation demand, KOGAS said.
Of the total, 1.01 mill tonnes went to power generation, some 58.3% higher year-on-year, while the remainder was taken for household and business consumption, KOGAS, the world's biggest corporate buyer of LNG and South Korea's sole wholesaler, said in a filing to the Seoul stock exchange.
