Feb 17 (LNGJ) - Teekay Corp., the Bermuda-based parent company of Teekay LNG, has had its debt rating lowered by US credit agency Moody's Investors Service to "B2" from "B1" and its senior unsecured debt rating to "B3 from "B2". Moody's review of Teekay was prompted by the company's announcement that it would substantially cut the distributions it receives from its US Master Limited Partnership subsidiaries, Teekay LNG Partners and Teekay Offshore Partners. The agency said that move affected around $595 million of rated debt instruments. Teekay LNG has interests in 48 LNG carriers, including 19 newbuilds.
