Feb 16 (LNGJ) - BP of the UK and Norway's Statoil have resumed operations at Algeria's In Salah Southern Fields (ISSF) development project. The venture, which also includes Algerian state energy company and LNG producer Sonatrach, includes the development of seven gas fields in the Saharan desert. The ISSF project started in February 2011 and was scheduled to be completed by 2014. However, in January 2013 terrorists attacked the In Amenas plant operated by the In Salah Gas joint venture. The attack led to the death of 40 people. Development work on the ISSF project was put on hold following the attack.
