Dec 18 (LNG) - Italian LNG and energy project developer Saipem and Norway's Aker Solutions have agreed to cooperate on targeted subsea oil and gas development projects worldwide. Saipem has most recently worked on the Ichthys LNG project in Australia and built a new Algerian LNG Train. "The companies will through a joint work group identify opportunities where they can create value for customers by combining Aker's capabilities in subsea products and technologies with Saipem's assets and expertise in engineering, procurement, construction and installation of subsea infrastructures," they said.
