Dec 2 (LNGJ) - Law firm Norton Rose Fulbright advised on a $540 million structured financing deal for two Floating Storage and Regasification Units (FSRUs) for Golar LNG. The firm advised China Merchants Bank Financial Leasing Co. on the sale and leaseback involving the two FSRUs, "Golar Eskimo" and "Golar Tundra", and Golar affiliates. The law firm's Singapore team led the transaction and comprised partner Gervais Green, supported by senior associate Gregory Xu and associate Cyril Chew. The FSRU "Golar Eskimo" has been deployed as an import facility in the port of Aqaba in Jordan. The vessel "Golar Tundra" is destined to be part of LNG import project at the port of Tema in the West African nation of Ghana from the second quarter of 2016.
