Dec 2 (LNGJ) - Bonny Gas Transport, the shipping arm of the largest LNG plant in the Atlantic Basin, Nigeria LNG, is taking delivery of four new vessels as part of an expansion and modernization programme. The four dual-fuel, diesel-electric carriers will ship cargoes from the Bonny Island plant, which has a total capacity of some 22 million tonnes per annum. BGT ordered six vessels in 2013 from Korean shipbuilders Samsung Heavy Industries and Hyundai Heavy Industries.  The remaining vessels will be commissioned in 2016. The delivered ships are the 177,000 cubic metres capacity "LNG Bonny" and "LNG Lagos", both built by HHI. Samsung constructed the "LNG Finima" and the "LNG Port Harcourt", with capacities of 175,000 cubic metres.
