May 2 (LNGJ) - The 154,950 cubic metres capacity carrier “Golar Tundra” was unloading a Nigerian cargo on May 2 at Europe’s largest LNG import terminal, the Isle of Grain facility operated by National Grid plc on the Medway River in Kent. Shipping data showed the cargo was lifted on April 19 from the Bonny Island plant on the Niger River Delta. The UK National Balancing Point LNG and wholesale natural gas price is currently at around the equivalent of $20.60 per million British thermal units while the European Union benchmark Dutch Title Transfer Facility price is $10.10 per MMBtu more at around $30.70 per MMbtu.
Two more LNG cargoes are headed for the UK and arriving next weekend. The 257,980 Q-Max vessel “Al Ghuwairiya” is scheduled to unload a Qatari shipment on May 8 at the South Hook terminal at Milford Haven. A cargo will be discharged on May 8 at the Dragon facility in Milford Haven from the 173,400 carrier “Maran Gas Amphilpolis”. The shipment was lifted on April 9 from the Pampa Melchorita plant on the Pacific Coast of Peru.
