Oct 6 (LNGJ) - Royal Dutch Shell has started natural gas production from a new platform at the Malampaya Gas Project in the Philippines, one of the few Southeast Asian nations without an LNG import terminal. The latest platform is Phase III of the project that started in 2001. Natural gas from Malampaya fuels three combined-cycle gas power stations, providing about 30 percent of power requirement on the northern Philippine island of Luzon.
